McRae and Hopkirk Works Cars Under the Hammer

It is still only a few months since the rally world lost one of its all-time heroes - Britain's first-ever World Rally Champion, Colin McRae, who sadly died in a helicopter accident. Under the circumstances, it is especially poignant for H&H to be offering one of Colin's former cars - the 1992 Subaru Legacy (J314 PWL) in which he won the British Rally Championship of that year, the second of his career. Estimate - £70,000-100,000.

Chairman's Chat

Steve Johnson COC of the Clitheronian Rally put on a good event. Three crews made the trip to Blackburn, myself, with Kev Savage, Graham Payne/Fred Bent, Escort Mexico, Paul Brereton/Ron Turner Peugeot 306. Andrew Brereton/Chris Williams Peugeot 205 After the long run out to Colne we started out in earnest near Lothersdale. We lost about three minutes with a couple of wrong slots.

Pictures and report from Rally of the Tests 2007

One of the final tests on the now revered Rally of the Tests was held and organised by MCC at Halton army training camp, just off junction 34 of the M6.

The compact venue still made for a challenging test, with nearly all of the private roads and car parks used for testing the handling and pace of all kinds of historic machinery.

Paul Moon has kindly provided us with some pictures from his travels with Warton rallying outfit TEG sport. Check them out in the gallery.

I have just installed a new script on the gallery to make viewing the pictures easier, feedback welcomed.
