After losing the last two rounds of the championship, the Lindisfarne and the Tour of Hamsterley, the SG Petch ANECCC Stage Rally Championship returned to Otterburn for the Keith Knox Stages Rally. The day started dry and got gradually damper to finish with heavy rain on the last stage, this left tyre chose very difficult with many claiming they were on the wrong tyres.

Atlas TEG Sport crew Mark Higgins – navigated by Rory Kennedy – have won the International Rally Isle of Man outright in their production class Subaru Impreza N11, beating opposition from works teams and entrants with latest specification World Rally Cars on the way.
 

After a very successful trip to the Oldtimer Grand Prix event at the ‘ring in August of last year I was keen to get back to the track dubbed the ‘Green Hell’ by Jackie Stewart for more classic racing action. Oldtimer in German is a term the encompasses pretty much all classic cars, but anything late 70s onwards is strangely referred to as a ‘Youngtimer’.

An informal but organized affair held at the Redwell Inn, Kirkby Lonsdale Road, near Arkholme, Lancs LA6 1BQ. There is no need to book in advance, just turn up and pay £6, for which you get a hot-pot supper included (passengers can also eat, for £5 each). There is a vegetarian option.
